When was Jesus Born?

Merry Christmas everybody! But why do we really celebrate Christmas? Does Christ really born on the 25th? Let's find out. This has been an interesting topic for me, who in the world knew when Jesus Christ was born? As far as the Bible is concerned, it didn't mention on the Holy Scripture as to when our Savior was born. I just felt the need to share this article that I got this from this site - http://www.new-life.net/chrtms10.htm . Please find time to read this. This made me change my perspective as to what this season is all about. Here you go... Best Guess: September 29, 5 B.C. Want the details? Read more below. Biblical scholars readily tell us that it was most likely NOT on December 25th, A.D. 0. Why? When were shepherds in the fields? Israeli meteorologists tracked December weather patterns for many years and concluded that the climate in Israel has been essentially constant for at least the last 2,000 years. The Interprete...

My thoughts on the US Election 2008

At last. The final moment has just arrived. The election day in the US was the most breathtaking moment of all this year. And indeed, in every race, there's a finish line. Barack Obama was pronounced as the 44th incoming US President. And the 1st African-American President. Many thanks to CNN for the most updated coverage of the election. I have realized a lot of things while I'm watching, listening, observing and all the stuff that a normal human being should do, makes me think, that being a citizen, should really give importance on future leaders. Here in the Philippines, it's been so tiring to think that leaders aren't good enough to think about the future but of themselves. But enough about ranting about it. Such a waste of time. I just really admire the Americans with the way they manage their election. The smoothness, the orderliness and the clean voting and all that. I just hope that our government officials here are observant with those scenarios. I'm just s...

High School Musical 3 : Senior Year

High School Musical 3 is undoubtedly the most fantastic movie that Disney has ever made. Just in my own opinion. But the reason why I said that is simply because I have this strong connection with what we so call "music." And High School musical has that kind of music that I mostly like. I'm not really a big fan of them but I really admire them for such an effort of producing such kind of musical. And by coming up with a movie like that is a courageous thing to do. Confidently telling the whole world, "Hey, this is how far we have gotten now." And I am really so proud of them. I watched the movie twice. Why? It's not a waste of money. It's really worth it to watch. Because I have this discontententment when it comes to watching movies. If I suddenly felt like, hey, I think I wanna watch it the second time around, I would really go for it. I know some people would just say, I can buy a dvd copy of this movie once it was released. Blah.. blah.. blah.. But ...

Busy mode again.

Yeah. You're right. I am right. Well, you might be wondering, what's keeping me so busy now? Well, it was all because of schooling!!! Haha. My life has never been this busier if it wasn't because of my schooling. Projects. Assignments. Reports. You name it! But I'm not regretful because of it. In fact, I always loved being busy. To be honest, I don't want to find myself doing nothing. Because, my being busy helps me find a way for me to realize that my life was just a series of journey. A never-ending journey. In fact, I am grateful to God because, He blesses me a lot more because He knows that I am exerting effort in everything I do. More things to do, more opportunities for me to develop myself more. Of course, I should not also neglect the time that i should spend for God and for my Savior. Sometimes, I find myself guilty. Because, I know that God was just right there, staring at me, looking on all the things I do, waiting for me to do something for His glory! Bu...

Father's Day

What is a Father's Day for all of us? Is it just an occasion that we all celebrate during the 2nd Sunday of every month of June? Or is it really a day where we honor our dads from being a great dad on our homes. I know that some families doesn't have any father at all, but it doesn't mean that that is where it ends. Because we all have a Father that we can always look on to, and that is God. And He will always forever be our father. But what kind of challenge it is being a father? Being an earthly father isn't an easy role to be. There are lots of responsibilities, sacrifices, he needs to have a a stable job, he should already learned how to lead the family, take care of them and so on and on.. and that is for only one reason, to sustain the family's daily needs. And being a father will most likely face different kinds of circumstances in life that you should always be responsible of. Might as well the same thing goes being a mother. But we will just focus on father...

The book called.. THE SECRET

I wonder why I have this book. In the first place, it wasn't mine. I only borrowed it from a friend of mine who is also interested on reading the book. Actually, the manner that I had when I borrowed the book isn't that really okay. But because of the kindness that my friend had shown to me, I took advantage of it. Haha! I really forced her to lend me the book even if she wasn't yet finished reading it. But what I'm wondering is that, why am I so excited to read this book even if I had no idea at all what the book is all about. Is it because of the title of book that gives me an impression that indeed it was really an interesting book to read at. The book was called THE SECRET. The first time I glanced the book, it was like a tickle of mystery that I felt. Then, right at the moment when the book was introduced to me, I just borrowed it. And this friend of mine agreed. The first time I read the book, I thought that there is nothing wrong with it, but soon as I dig deep i...

My Tech Gadgets (a review)

Wonder which brand of cellphone I have? Well, here in the Philippines, the most popular brand here was NOKIA. Mine is the Nokia 6300. For me it is the best phone that I've ever had. Why? It's because of it's unique features and design. It may not be the best phone of all but I love it very much. The best feature that I know about on my phone is the 2 mega pixel camera that always come in handy at times when I need something to be captured. It doesn't have the flash but the camera quality was really good during daytime, it was as clear as the digital camera's photo quality. However, the video quality isn't that good. An example of a photo that was taken from our vacation trip. See the image below. The second thing that I liked the most of my phone was it's looks. I really loved it's metallic design. It was so simple and easy to use and the good thing is, it comes with a case, and that is to avoid the scratches. It was so easy to navigate and I easily get ...

Youth Camp '08

I just want to share my experiences on the youth camp that I had recently attended. The youth camp this year is probably one of the best youth camps that I have ever attended. My role there was not actually a camper but a counselor with lots of responsibilities to handle with. It was not really a joke for you to handle an approximately more than 200 young delegates/campers. Age that ranges at 11-20 years old. Most of the campers were from our neighbors in the province and most of them were also a Compassion recipient. Sponsored children and youths. I, as an individual counselor, I believe I handled less than 20 campers and my role is of course, to take care of them. It wasn't really a time of enjoyment on our end but my heart was glad everytime I see them getting serious for God. The camp lasts for 4 days and it was stressful on our part. But we're all still glad every time we see them participate on our activities. Such as outdoor activities, session hall activities, and so o...

My Hillsong UNITED Live in Manila Experience

It was really a blast that night! The Hillsong UNITED band went here in the Philippines for a concert where most of the Christian youths gathered at Araneta Coliseum last May 26. The concert started at 8pm and we're all very excited to witness the event. It was really a breathtaking event because they seldom went here. The concert is not only just a concert, it's actually for a cause. They are having a movement called The I HEART REVOLUTION where in their mission is to reach out the youth in the world. And not just the youth of the world but the poor and the needy ones as well around the globe. You may want to visit their website at www.iheartrevolution.com . The Chronicles of Narnia - Prince Caspian

Prince Caspian is a part of the Narnia series which was written by C.S. Lewis. The story is still focused on Narnia, of course, that was back then ravaged by the Telmarines. When Prince Caspian the 9th ruled over, his uncle Miraz wants to dethrone him and planned to kill him. That's why he went away and look for some place to seek help with. Caspian was then found by the 2 dwarfs and a talking badger. The Narnian creatures discovered that the prince has the magical horn which was said that it has a magical power. When the prince was in danger, he blew the horn and that made the Pevensies back again in the world of Narnia to help gain Narnia's freedom back. The story tells us something about the New Age, that's why if you'll notice on their movie posters, it says, "The New Age Has Begun." Indeed, it really is. C.S. Lewis was really very brilliant, because his writings were really timely. No wonder why he is one of my favorite authors. The movie is somehow viole...

What's next?

Sometimes I was wondering, why do we have to be busy on doing a lot of things. And what's gonna be like when you're doing nothing. For me, I find this year a very challenging one, why? For many reasons, it seems like, it so difficult for me to balance things out. *sighs* I think I really need to settle myself into a moment of just spending time with myself first, so that I could find time to contemplate and plan on my next journey in life. Because I am not only meant for what I am right now. I know, there's more to life that what meets the eye. So, I really need to catch up. First, I was planning to go back to school. Whatever it is, EDUCATION is still the key for me to pursue my goals in life, more than what others could expect to achieve. If they think that education is just something that will give the title for being a candidate of having a good job, well these days, I think so it's a YES. Being competitive is something that you have to prepare yourself with, and ed...

The prayer of the gimper named JABEZ (read 1 Chronicles 4:9-10)

Hey guys! Thanks you so much for reading this post that I have just recently posted. I would really appreciate if you'll leave some comments. Thanks. I know, for some of you, or most of the Christians are familiar with this man named Jabez. And He's a gimper. What do we mean by gimper anyway? A gimper according to Seume was someone who always does a little more than what's required or expected. Are we like that? Do we always do the extra mile in everything we do? Or just do things plain and simple. And then that's the end of it? Our mind is always preoccupied on reaching success. But in the life of this man named Jabez. He did something in life that is really extraordinary that made God answer his prayer. If we will try to look back in the history, names does have its own meaning. And in that time where names are meaningful which greatly reflects who you are. (as what they used to say) The name Jabez, means "pain." Now, what are you thinking of right now?...

What my New Year is all bout Ü

New Year. New haircut. New cellphone. New MP3. Haha. And the most important thing of all, New ME. It's been quite a while since the last time I updated my blog. 'Cause I've been very busy these past few weeks due to the demands of the clients at work. Well, simply because of the holiday season. I am so thankful for everything, especially this job, my ever supportive parents, friends and churchmates. I love 'em all. And most of all, my one and only Savior, Jesus Christ. Love him so much! :) I've noticed that prayer really is such a very powerful tool for a change. For my belief is that, we can't change ourselves. But only Him alone could possibly transform us into something extraordinary. We can plot the direction of our lives but God has the map for us to determine the right way that we should go. For it says on the scripture that we should no longer be conformed into the pattern of this world, but we should allow ourselves to be transformed to the renewing of o...

No God or Know God?

I checked my email today and I find this one topic very interesting. So I decided to have this posted on my blog. It tells us something about how we will be firm in our stand as a believer of Christ to those who did not believe Him. And the most exciting part of this conversation between the professor and the student is the logic behind their reasonings that challenged them both. But they both end up into something that not only the mind could sense but also by their heart and soul and most of all their FAITH. So, here it goes. An atheist professor of philosophy speaks to his class on the problem Science has with God, The Almighty. He asks one of his new students to stand and..... Prof: So you believe in God? Student: Absolutely, sir. Prof: Is God good? Student: Sure. Prof: Is God all-powerful? Student: Yes. Prof: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to God to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But God didn't. How is this God good then? Hmm? (...
