My Tech Gadgets (a review)

Wonder which brand of cellphone I have? Well, here in the Philippines, the most popular brand here was NOKIA. Mine is the Nokia 6300. For me it is the best phone that I've ever had. Why? It's because of it's unique features and design. It may not be the best phone of all but I love it very much.

The best feature that I know about on my phone is the 2 mega pixel camera that always come in handy at times when I need something to be captured. It doesn't have the flash but the camera quality was really good during daytime, it was as clear as the digital camera's photo quality. However, the video quality isn't that good.

An example of a photo that was taken from our vacation trip. See the image below.

The second thing that I liked the most of my phone was it's looks. I really loved it's metallic design. It was so simple and easy to use and the good thing is, it comes with a case, and that is to avoid the scratches. It was so easy to navigate and I easily get the hang of using it in no time. And it also has a built-in MP3 player that supports common music files such as WMA, MP3 and AAC. And it also has an FM radio and a Web browser. You'll never get bored with it because it also has preloaded games and stuff. And you can also browse the web if you want to check your email. And the good news is, it was supported by Yahoo! Go. Which is one of the few unique application that is already included on the phone's features.

The battery life and the call quality was also good. And I'm also aware that it has the unique feature called Push-to-Talk which is similar to the walkie-talkie thing. The sad thing is, I don't know how to use it. or even activate. Haha! And it needs to have the support from your network provider. Overall, it was really a cool phone for those who wanted to never go out of style.

The only problem with this phone was the piano black casing which is really prone on scratches. So, if you have one, please do take care of it. Make it a habit to always have the case with you to get rid of having your phone scratched. And my advise was to avoid dropping the phone, because according to one of the reviews that I have read, it was somehow sensitive. So, that's all for my Nokia 6300. Simple yet so elegant.

Now, the next gadget that I'll be featuring with was my iPod shuffle 2nd gen 2GB.

Even though there are lots of MP3's that are far better than my iPod shuffle. In fact, iPod Nano is better than this. What I liked about my iPod shuffle is it's simplicity. And it was always handy. And you can just simply clip it anywhere you want to. It could be in your shirt, in your bag or in your pants, it doesn't matter. Just hit the play button and you're good to go!

Even though it doesn't have a display screen for you to view the name of the song that you're listening at. It still doesn't matter to me. Because, all I want is just to listen to music, and that's it. All of what I need in an MP3 player was all in my iPod shuffle. And it now comes in 2GB! Where you can store up to 500 songs. The New 2GB was $69 and the 1GB was $49. Not bad, isn't it?

I hope this post may somehow help you decide on which gadget you'd like to buy. And for me, the most important thing is the quality. It may be expensive but quality is still the best thing to consider. Thanks for your time reading this post.

The prayer of the gimper named JABEZ (read 1 Chronicles 4:9-10)

Hey guys! Thanks you so much for reading this post that I have just recently posted. I would really appreciate if you'll leave some comments. Thanks. I know, for some of you, or most of the Christians are familiar with this man named Jabez. And He's a gimper. What do we mean by gimper anyway? A gimper according to Seume was someone who always does a little more than what's required or expected. Are we like that? Do we always do the extra mile in everything we do? Or just do things plain and simple. And then that's the end of it? Our mind is always preoccupied on reaching success. But in the life of this man named Jabez. He did something in life that is really extraordinary that made God answer his prayer. If we will try to look back in the history, names does have its own meaning. And in that time where names are meaningful which greatly reflects who you are. (as what they used to say) The name Jabez, means "pain." Now, what are you thinking of right now?...

The book called.. THE SECRET

I wonder why I have this book. In the first place, it wasn't mine. I only borrowed it from a friend of mine who is also interested on reading the book. Actually, the manner that I had when I borrowed the book isn't that really okay. But because of the kindness that my friend had shown to me, I took advantage of it. Haha! I really forced her to lend me the book even if she wasn't yet finished reading it. But what I'm wondering is that, why am I so excited to read this book even if I had no idea at all what the book is all about. Is it because of the title of book that gives me an impression that indeed it was really an interesting book to read at. The book was called THE SECRET. The first time I glanced the book, it was like a tickle of mystery that I felt. Then, right at the moment when the book was introduced to me, I just borrowed it. And this friend of mine agreed. The first time I read the book, I thought that there is nothing wrong with it, but soon as I dig deep i...

GLOBAL VILLAGE

What comes first into your mind when you hear something about GLOBAL VILLAGE? I know this may sound new to you for those who's unfamiliar. But let the Merriam-Webster dictionary define Global Village. Global Village - the world viewed as a community in which distance and isolation have been dramatically reduced by electronic media (as television and the Internet). And for other definition, Global Village means, it's the entire world and its inhabitants. Now, why do I come up with this kind of topic. What's the connection of this compound word in our lives as a Filipino individual? Read on to find out. Very interesting. We have just recently celebrated our church's 25th Anniversary. And coincidently, that was the theme of our church anniversary. It was quite very interesting because Global Village really is a technical term for this digital world. But if we will try to look it in another perspective, in a basic understanding, look at it literally. GLOBAL.. and then VILLA...
